Our Past Work: Making a Difference in Communities

Post-flood Rehabilitation Programme

This was Sheba’s first project. Following the devastating flood in Bangladesh in late 2007, Sheba conducted ‘Bangladesh Flood Appeal 2007’.

Chatmohar Public Library Assistance

Chatmohar is a small rural tojwn in the North-Western Bangladesh with a population of about 25000. Some community members established the first and the only public library in Chatmohar in 2001. The library is managed and run by a group of volunteers without any help from any level of government. Sheba donated a collections of books for the library in 2008.

Farmers’ Education initiative

Sheba donated a laptop to our partner organization ‘Alternative Approach’ for education and information provision for a group of farmers in Monagram village of Sadar upazilla of Comilla district in 2010.
